Welcome to Gaffer's Web site!
Hello all, and welcome. This is me

A little bit about myself I
suppose.
My actual name is Stuart, and I live in the UK, in the
county of Kent, not far from London
I am in my 40s, and I work for an IT company in London. I work shift
work, so this gives me lots of time off to indulge my hobbies.
These are
mainly 3D graphics work, and video work, but my other great passion is
playing the drums.
Why Gaffer? When I joined my first forum, I didn't want
to be "samernnn", or some other derivative standard name. I didn't have
a nickname, but I was wearing a sweatshirt that said 'GAFFER', I was
also an Operations Shift Manager at the time, so it all seemed to go
from there really.

3D History I started in 3D many years ago, on an Amiga.
I purchased a copy of a program called Turbo Silver. A
rendering and modeling program, with some animation
capabilities. This is in the times, where it would take days to
render a single 4096 colour image probably 320 x 200 in size
I then moved to a PC, and bought
Truespace, another
nice little easy to use package.
Then one day I discovered
Poser 1 on a cover
disc. A couple of years later Poser 3 became available on a
disc. It was a nice toy at the time really, buying clothes and
dressing up.
I was introduced to Vue when it was version 3 again on a
magazine. I had up until then been playing with Bryce, but
didn't really produce anything. I upgraded to Vue 4, and found
that I could import to Poser 5 (which I had also upgraded to by
then)
Even when I first went to Vue 5 Espirit, I was not really
doing much with it. Then came the day that the Cornucopia3D site
arrived. At last an outlet was found, and after a slowish start
(it's always about the creative process for me), you get to
where I am today. I have met a lot of nice people on this site,
and always find something to inspire me to produce more pictures
